Biohaven Pharmaceuticals BHV7000-303 is a clinical study by Biohaven Pharmaceuticals evaluating BHV-7000, a novel therapy designed to calm overactive brain signaling in adults with difficult-to-treat focal epilepsy. The study aims to assess its safety and potential to reduce seizure frequency, with the goal of improving day-to-day stability and quality of life for patients who have not found enough relief from current treatments.
 

To qualify, participants generally must:

• Age: 18 years or older

​

• Diagnosis:

  • Focal onset epilepsy diagnosed ≥ 1 year before screening

​

• Seizure type: Must have documented focal seizures, such as:

  • Focal aware seizures

  • Focal impaired awareness seizures

  • Focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizures

​

• Drug-resistant epilepsy definition:

  • Failure of at least 2 appropriate anti-seizure medications without achieving seizure freedom

​

• Stable epilepsy treatment regimen before entering the study
